Come meet the artist at a special reception for Valerie Helgesen. “Brush strokes” is a show with works featuring the garden, sea and the shore. At an early age, Valerie began to show considerable creativity in her art work. Encouraged by her teachers and family to express her thoughts and ideas through the medium of painting in a realistic style, Valerie found that her paintings could reflect the mood, light, color and shapes that she perceives in her subjects. Come view a variety of paintings from Valerie’s world that reflect a lifetime of dedication to the arts.
Exhibit runs until April 14th. The Milton Historical Society’s art gallery is open Wednesday through Saturday 11am – 4pm.
