On April 16th the Milton Historical Society holds its annual dinner to pay tribute to its many volunteers and members. This event provides an enjoyable evening for members and friends to socialize and celebrate. It is thanks to the generous support of our volunteers, members and community that the MHS is able to fulfill its mission to increase public understanding and appreciation of the history of Milton and the Broadkill Hundred.

The 12th Annual Dinner takes place on Saturday, April 16th at the Milton Fire Hall, 116 Front St. in Milton. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. for Happy Hour, with dinner served at 6:00 p.m. The menu catered by Jimmy’s Grille includes Jimmy’s famous fried chicken, chunky chicken salad, baked pit ham, creamy cole slaw, macaroni & cheese, strawberry pretzel salad, seasoned green beans, oven roasted herb potatoes, sweet potato soufflé, freshly baked yeast rolls, assorted homemade cakes and pies, and iced tea and coffee. A cash bar will offer soda, Dogfish Head beer and wine. Interim Director, Kevin Kelly will provide a short program and present an award to this year’s “Volunteer of the Year.”

Tickets must be purchased in advance at the Milton Historical Society by April 8th. Tickets are $25 for adults, $7.50 for children 7 – 12, and free for children 6 and under.
