Milton Eats: “Lavender through the Ages” Presentation
The Milton Historical Society is pleased to announce our first presentation of the 2017 Winter Speaker Series: Milton Eats on Thursday, January 26 at 7 pm. Sharon Harris, Marie Mayor and Martine Downing of Lavender Fields will discuss “Lavender through the Ages–From Provence to Milton.”
Located on a historic, five-acre farm on the scenic Delmarva Peninsula, Lavender Fields at Warrington Manor is Delaware’s premier lavender farm. Owned by Sharon Harris and Marie Mayor, they have been growing quality lavender since 2003. At this presentation, they will discuss the history of lavender from Provence to Milton and the history of one of Milton’s oldest farms. Learn about the many culinary uses of lavender, including delicacies like lavender and chocolate, just in time to begin your preparations for a romantic Valentine’s Day!
The Milton Historical Society is located at 210 Union Street in downtown Milton. For more information please call 302-684-1010 or visit www.historicmilton.org. The presentation is complimentary for members and $5 for non-members. Memberships are available on site or through our website. Reservations are suggested. We look forward to seeing you on January 26!
