Advertisement for Bid: Right of Way Infrastructure in Chestnut Crossing subdivision

00 10 00 – ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID

Sealed bids will be received on behalf of The Town of Milton, (herein called the “Owner”) at Milton Town Hall, 115 Federal Street, Milton, Delaware no later than March 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. EST. Bids will then be publicly opened and read thereafter for the following:

Chestnut Crossing Infrastructure Maintenance, Contract No. 2023-001

Contract Duration 120 Consecutive Calendar Days

The work consists of roadway infrastructure demolition, rehabilitation, and repair with wearing course pavement installation and paint striping. Activity will include curb replacement, sidewalk replacement, storm sewer inlet repairs, valve and manhole adjustments, base course pavement repair, wearing course installation and paint striping.

PDF specifications, including the proposal forms, may be obtained free of charge by contacting the Town Engineer, Brian Miller, PE via email, bmiller@pennoni.com .  The email request must note the title of the project and provide the name, email, address, and phone number of the requesting party for plan holder records. A link to the files will be provided via email response.

Each BID must be accompanied by a BID BOND or Certified Check payable to the OWNER for ten percent of the total amount of the BID.  No Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty days after the actual date of the opening thereof.

The right is reserved, as the interests of the Town of Milton may appear, to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality in bids received, and to accept or reject any items of any bid.

A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on March 6, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of Hickory Boulevard and Sassafras Lane to review the site. A meeting invitation shall be distributed via email to all plan holders.

The Town of Milton reserves the right to extend the time and place of Bid Opening on not less than two calendar days’ notice by electronic delivery.
