2018 Water System Improvements and Information Sessions for Referendum In 2015, the Town of Milton received a Drinking Water Planning Grant to map and model the water system, and develop a report of water system improvements to increase resilience, fire flow, and the ability to operate during and after a large storm event. (Thu., Nov. 30, 2017): Storms come and go from one season to the next, but the need to have a preparedness plan is a constant whatever the weather. The Sussex County Emergency Operations Center reminds the public that preparation is a must before any season, whether it’s ahead of hurricane season that ends in November or the nor’easter season that runs from now until to March. 2018 Annual Municipal Election

For immediate release: January 10, 2018   TOWN OF MILTON 2018 Annual Municipal Election   The 2018 Annual Municipal Election candidate filing deadline was Tuesday, January 2, at 5:00 p.m.  This year’s Election was open for two council seats.  Two citizens declared their candidacy for the 2018 Election:  incumbent Councilmen Charles Fleetwood and G. Kevin Kelly.   Since the number of qualified candidates equals the number of seats open for election, there will not be an Annual Election.   In accordance with the Town Charter, Mr. Charles Fleetwood and Mr. G. Kevin Kelly are deemed elected.   Mr. Charles Fleetwood and Mr. G. Kevin Kelly will be sworn-in at the April 2, 2018 Town Council meeting, which will be held at the Milton Library beginning at 6:30 p.m.
