“Explorations” Photography Exhibit at the Milton Historical Society

A new art exhibit opens at the Milton Historical Society museum on Saturday, November 7 featuring the photographic work of local artist, Deny Howeth.  From the smallest detail to sweeping landscapes, “Explorations”

captures the beauty of Sussex County through the perceptive spot-on lens of Deny Howeth’s camera. A native of Delaware, Deny traces the roots of her successful career back to an art class at Cape Henlopen High School.

Now, having achieved over twenty five years of experience as a photographer, art director, graphic designer and digital artist, her preferred medium is photography. She is adept in both digital and traditional photography. Deny has established proficiency in portraiture, food photography, studio and location photo shoots as well as photojournalism. You can see her work frequently in the Cape Gazette and also on her website DenyHoweth.com.

A stunning canvas print of “Broadkill Shipwreck” will be available for sale during this exhibit. Deny will generously donate a portion of the sale of this photograph to the Milton Historical Society.  This exhibit is on view beginning Saturday, November 7 and continues through December 4, 2015.  The public is invited to meet the artist at a free reception on Friday, November 13 from 5 – 7 pm at the Milton Historical Society museum.

The Milton Historical Society and Museum is located at 210 Union Street in downtown historic Milton.  The museum is open Wednesday through Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm. For further information, contact the museum at 302-684-1010, email info@historicmilton.org or go to www.historicmilton.org.
