Delaware Bayshore Byway Website Launch

The Tilney Street water main replacement project will begin tomorrow, May 21, and is expected to take a few weeks. While crews are in the area, please try to avoid travel on Tilney Street to minimize impact to staff, equipment use, and access to driveways. Water service will remain active during the project until such time when the new water main is approved for connection to the Town's system. A CodeRed notice will be made at such time when water service will be affected. We appreciate your patience as we work to improve the water system. DELAWARE BAYSHORE BYWAY WEBSITE LAUNCH

Delaware Greenways (DGI) announces the launch of the Delaware Bayshore Byway website, Delaware Bayshore Byway. By introduction of the website, DGI continues its mission of providing opportunities to live healthier lives by discovering and enjoying the outdoors.

The site provides a window to the 100-mile coastal area of Delaware’s Bayshore and introduces you to this National Scenic Byway designated in 2021.

The story of the Delaware Bayshore Byway is about making a conscious decision to get off the crowded, bustling highway of modern America and letting your senses take in the majesty and power of Mother Nature in the coastal communities of Delaware’s Bayshore.

For the first time, a website is dedicated to this widely recognized area of global ecological and historic significance. It introduces the nineteen discovery zones, small towns, and natural areas with the capacity to welcome visitors. It introduces attractions and itineraries by interest. From birding, history, beaches and preserves to kayaking, hunting, fishing, and camping. It’s all there, ready for your visit.
