The Tilney Street water main replacement project will begin tomorrow, May 21, and is expected to take a few weeks. While crews are in the area, please try to avoid travel on Tilney Street to minimize impact to staff, equipment use, and access to driveways. Water service will remain active during the project until such time when the new water main is approved for connection to the Town's system. Sealed bids will be received on behalf of The Town of Milton, (herein called the “Owner”) at Milton Town Hall, 115 Federal Street, Milton, Delaware no later than January 30, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. EST. Bids will then be publicly opened and read thereafter for the following:

Federal Street Elevated Water Storage

Contract No. 2024-004

Contract Duration 450 Consecutive Calendar Days

The construction work consists of construction of a new 500,000-gallon elevated water storage tank and associated site grading and foundation work. Construction will also include electrical and piping work to complete the installation and connection to the water system.

A link to the files will be provided.

Plans and specifications are available for review at Milton Town Hall, 115 Federal Street, Milton, Delaware 19968.

Each BID must be accompanied by a BID BOND or Certified Check payable to the OWNER for ten (10) percent of the total amount of the BID. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.

The right is reserved, as the interests of the Town of Milton may appear, to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality in bids received, and to accept or reject any items of any bid.

A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on January 15, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Milton Town Hall, 115 Federal Street, Milton, Delaware to allow Contractors an opportunity to obtain information on the project from the Consulting Engineer and the Owner. The Town of Milton reserves the right to extend the time and place of bid opening on not less than two calendar days’ notice by electronic notice.
