Advertisement for Bid: Water Main Replacement Project

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID

Sealed bids will be received on behalf of The Town of Milton, (herein called the “Owner”) at Milton Town Hall, 115 Federal Street, Milton, Delaware no later than February 19, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. EST. Bids will then be publicly opened and read thereafter for the following:

Water Main Replacements

Contract No. 2024-003

Contract Duration 210 Consecutive Calendar Days

The work consists of furnishing and installing approximately 3,970 linear feet of 8-inch diameter C900 PVC water main in Mill Street, Magnolia Street, Walnut Street, Bay Avenue, and Carey Street. The work is located within the roadway right of way of Mill Street, Magnolia Street, Walnut Street, Bay Avenue, and Carey Street in the Town of Milton.

A link to the files will be provided.

Plans and specifications are available for review at Milton Town Hall, 115 Federal Street, Milton, Delaware 19968.

Each BID must be accompanied by a BID BOND or Certified Check payable to the OWNER for ten (10) percent of the total amount of the BID.  No Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.

The right is reserved, as the interests of the Town of Milton may appear, to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality in bids received, and to accept or reject any items of any bid.

A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on January 23, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Milton Town Hall, 115 Federal Street, Milton, Delaware; site visit to follow, to allow Contractors an opportunity to obtain information on the project from the Engineer and the Owner. The Town of Milton reserves the right to extend the time and place of bid opening on not less than two calendar days’ notice by electronic notice.
