Project updates: Throughout the month of November, Artesian will be working on Tilney Street to complete wastewater infrastructure installation; a portion of Tilney Street will be closed to through traffic. Weather permitting, the Towns Chestnut Street rehabilitation project continues into the beginning of November; we ask that there be no parking on Chestnut Street, from Coulter Street to New Street. Water main work in the area of Mill Street and Walnut Street will also continue into November. Should water service be disrupted, a CodeRed call will be sent to the affected area. Job Opening: Licensed Drinking Water Operator Town of Milton, DE

The Town of Milton is seeking a Licensed Drinking Water Operator to join our team and ensure the safe and efficient operation of our municipal water system. If you’re a dedicated professional with the necessary credentials and a commitment to providing high-quality drinking water to the community, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

Operate, maintain, and monitor the town’s water treatment and distribution systems.
Conduct routine testing to ensure compliance with federal and state water quality regulations.
Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment and infrastructure.
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports.
Respond to emergencies and troubleshoot system issues as needed.

Requirements:

Current Delaware Drinking Water Operator License.
Experience in water treatment operations, maintenance, and compliance reporting.
Knowledge of EPA and state regulations related to public water systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to respond to emergency situations and be on-call as needed.
Valid Drivers License and transportation.
