Project updates: Throughout the month of November, Artesian will be working on Tilney Street to complete wastewater infrastructure installation; a portion of Tilney Street will be closed to through traffic. Weather permitting, the Towns Chestnut Street rehabilitation project continues into the beginning of November; we ask that there be no parking on Chestnut Street, from Coulter Street to New Street. TRAFFIC ALERT – Sussex County – All Way Stop Implementation – SR 5(Harbeson Road) at Shingle Point Road and Chestnut St

Georgetown — Georgetown – ; The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) will be converting the two way stop control at the intersection of SR 5 (Harbeson Rd) / and Shingle Point Road and Chestnut Street to an All Way Stop control with new signs and pavement markings.

The work will occur starting at 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 (weather permitting)

Flaggers will be on-site to direct motorists at the intersection. Motorists are advised to use caution for workers and reduce their speed in work zones.
