Project updates: Throughout the month of November, Artesian will be working on Tilney Street to complete wastewater infrastructure installation; a portion of Tilney Street will be closed to through traffic. Weather permitting, the Towns Chestnut Street rehabilitation project continues into the beginning of November; we ask that there be no parking on Chestnut Street, from Coulter Street to New Street. Water main work in the area of Mill Street and Walnut Street will also continue into November. Should water service be disrupted, a CodeRed call will be sent to the affected area. Board of Appeals

Established in accordance with Section 85-21 of the Town of Milton Municipal Code.

The Board of Appeals shall consist of three members, the Mayor of the Town and two elected members of the Town Council. The Town Solicitor is not a member and does not vote, but advises the Board. The Mayor appoints members of the Board. They are confirmed by a majority vote of the members of Council.

The current members of the Board of Appeals are as follows:

  • Mayor John Collier
  • Councilman Scotty Edler
  • Councilman Fred Harvey

The powers and duties of the Board of Appeals are described in Sections 85-22 through 85-26 of the Town of Milton Municipal Code. Specifically, the Board will hear and decide appeals of any action of the Building Inspector or the application of the building code.

Meetings of the Board of Appeals are scheduled as needed upon the receipt of a notice of appeal.  All appeals must be made in writing.   Every appeal must reference the applicable provision and chapter within the Town of Milton Municipal Code.
