Sustainability Committee, Community Meeting
05/18/2019 at 10:30 AM
Location: Milton Library
Address: 121 Union Street
Milton, DE 19968
Do you live, work, or play in the Town of Milton? Are you interested in Milton’s future? Do you want to make sure Milton is a place where you, your children, and your grandchildren can have a good quality of life and a strong sense of community? If so, please join us on Saturday, May 18th at the Town of Milton Library to discuss Milton’s sustainability action plan.
Over the course of this half-day workshop, community leaders, environmental nonprofits, elected officials, and Milton residents will participate in a highly engaged work session designed to inform the development of a community sustainability action plan to be adopted by the Town of Milton later this fall.
Participants at this workshop will help identify specific sustainability strategies, opportunities, and resources that can accelerate future community action. Following a brief introduction that will provide the foundation for the workshop’s discussions, attendees will spend the rest of the event rolling up their sleeves to engage in robust dialogue. The conversations, discussions, and debate coming from this event will be translated into a suite of recommendations that will be presented to the Town Council and will help guide Milton’s sustainability into the future.
We are calling on the Town’s creative, innovative, and engaged community leaders to take part in this event and hope you can join us.
Sincerely,
The Milton Sustainability Committee
