Date Posted: Wednesday, March 9th, 2022Citizen of the Year & Lifetime Volunteer Award Nomination deadline is March 22, 2022 The Mayor and Town Council of the Town of Milton are currently accepting letters of recommendation for 2022 Citizen of the Year, and 2022 Lifetime Volunteer Award. Nominees must be residents of the Town of Milton who have demonstrated exceptional volunteer commitment. The deadline is Tuesday, March 22, 2022. Nomination letters must include a supporting explanation on how the nominee has displayed significant contributions to the Milton community during the past year, or a “lifetime”. Letters can be mailed to “2022 Citizen of the Year” or “2022 Lifetime Volunteer Award”, Attn: Kristy Rogers, Town Manager, 115 Federal Street, Milton, DE 19968; dropped off at Town Hall; or emailed to Kristy Rogers (krogers@ci.milton.de.us).

Snow Removal and Ice Control; Reminder to clear snow and ice from sidewalks
Date Posted: Sunday, January 2nd, 2022The purpose of this post is to communicate the process and level of service for snow removal and ice control for the Town of Milton. The Town’s Public Works Department is responsible for snow removal and ice control on municipally owned streets and sidewalks. It’s our goal for the Public Works Department to remove snow and ice from streets and sidewalks as safely and efficiently as possible, all while keeping roads open for essential travel. To assist in the snow removal process, please make best efforts to not park on streets once snow fall begins so that there is ample space for snow plows to clear the area safely. Delaware Department of Transportation (DELDOT) is responsible for snow removal on State streets, which are Federal, Union, and Mulberry Streets, as well as a portion of Front, Chestnut, and Atlantic Streets.
